Upstream Services

Geology & Geophysics

Our geoscientists include interpreters; geophysicists; geologists; plus the specialist technical disciplines of petrophysics, sedimentology and biostratigraphy. This expertise can be delivered either by an individual specialist or by an integrated team, and this provides our clients with a level of support for both integrated and specialist projects that is second to none. Many of our staff have worked within operating oil companies and have the technical and commercial overview to ensure that projects are properly resourced and deliverables provided on time, whilst others are dedicated experts in their chosen field.

Reservoir Engineering

We can undertake a range of projects from a full field integrated or reservoir engineering studies, including reservoir simulation, to the provision of operations personnel for the control of drilling, work-over, and general production activities. We have experts in compositional and black oil reservoir simulation, as well as the core skills of reservoir fluid characterization, well test analysis and development planning. Reservoir assessment incorporates input from geophysicists, geologists and petrophysicists, into the construction and analysis of reservoir models and reservoir simulation.

All work is supported by industry-standard software packages, complemented by or own proprietary, specialist tools, but any simulation or other software can be utilized to suit the client’s preferences. PFEFP’s reservoir engineering section can provide:
> Reservoir characterization
> Integrated field studies
> Classical reservoir engineering
> Reservoir simulation
> Reservoir management
> Well design and planning
> Development planning
> Depletion performance prediction
> Development of thin oil rims
> Gas reservoir development
> Gas storage studies

Production Engineering

Include monitoring of existing field data and optimization of production and injection rates using analytical and empirical techniques including decline curve analysis, material balance modeling, and inflow/outflow analysis. Also:
> Production Log Analyses
> Well Modeling and Nodal Analysis
> Artificial Lifting
> Production Problems and Remedial actions
> Well Test Analysis
> Preparing Work-over program

Integrated Reservoir Study

In Integrated Field study, the professionals work in an interrelated way, where the feedback from other disciplines is fundamental to the validation of the work that is being performed. PFEFP has extensive experience in the provision of multi-disciplined teams for integrated reservoir studies, and for the design and assessment of field development plans.

MDP Preparation

All available information is used to prepare the Master Development Plan (MDP) including the following major items, but not limited to: A summary of the Petrophysics, Geophysics, Geology and reservoir study of the reservoir Run scenarios results The early production program and the techno/economical study of it Techno/economic analysis of the best scenario in detail Study and conceptual design of a pilot plant The appropriate transportation system and gathering and transportation pipelines specifications The appraisal well location and its geological forecast, detailed drilling, testing and completion program The Conceptual design of required surface facility to be constructed in the field:

>The Conceptual design of required pipeline through which the oil shall be transported either to exportation port or to refinery
> Preparation of SOW for implementation of the development plan (implementation of MDP shall be done by another contractor)
> Drawing the Block Diagrams and Process Flow Diagrams (PFD) of proposed processing plants
> Providing reservoir monitoring program
> HSE plan for field future development plan and related recommendation
